Essential Items for Every First Aid Kit

Knowing what should be in a first aid kit is important for quick and effective treatment during emergencies. A well-stocked kit helps you handle minor injuries and can save lives before professional help arrives.

Every first aid kit should have basic supplies to treat cuts, burns, and other common injuries. These include sterile gauze pads to cover wounds and absorb blood, adhesive plasters (band-aids) for small cuts, and adhesive tape to keep bandages in place.

It’s also important to have antiseptic wipes or solution to clean wounds and prevent infection. Scissors and tweezers are useful tools for cutting bandages or removing debris from injuries. Including disposable gloves protects you and the injured person from germs.
