To use Outlook, you’ll navigate between several different views, including Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Tasks. Because of these robust productivity features, Outlook is often used in many offices and workplaces to help employees communicate, manage their time, and organize meetings.

Below is the list of lessons you will learn while going through this course.

Basics of Outlook

  • In this lesson you will get familiar with the Outlook interface, the ribbon and backstage view. You will also learn the process of setting up Outlook.

Sending and Receiving  Mails

  • In this lesson you will learn the different steps that outlook offers to send and receive mails and a few tools that comes with Outlook.

Organising and Managing Emails

  • Learn how to create and use folders and categories to organise and manage mails.

Managing Contacts

  • Contacts view is the central place for all your contacts in Outlook 2010. Maintaining a detailed contacts list will make sending emails and scheduling meetings much easier.
  • In this lesson, you’ll learn how to add, manage, and organize your contacts. We’ll also talk about how to import contacts.

Managing your Calendar

  • Whenever you use Outlook, you’ll have its calendaring capabilities at your disposal. Even if you don’t have an email account set up, you can still use Outlook for the rest of its features. The calendar works best, however, if you can take advantage of its collaborative capabilities, so using an email account assures you’re able to send meeting invites and receive attendee notifications.
  • Learn the steps of creating, using and managing calendars.

Collaborating with Calendars

  • Outlook makes it easy to share your schedule and availability, a feature commonly used in the workplace to collaborate and arrange meetings.
  • In this lesson, you’ll learn how to share your calendar and schedule meetings in an office environment. We’ll also talk about using Schedule view to find the best possible time for group meetings and how to set your availability.
