Young people in KwaZulu-Natal’s Ilembe District have just received an important opportunity to enter the public employment system through the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP). The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport is recruiting unemployed youth for the EPWP Vukuyibambe Routine Road Maintenance Programme and the EPWP Fieldworker Programme under Phase IV intake.
These opportunities are designed to help young people gain practical work experience, income support, and entry-level infrastructure skills, especially those living in Maphumulo and surrounding wards. If you have Grade 10–12 or Matric, are unemployed, and live close to the targeted road networks, this could be your gateway into the public sector built-environment career pathway.
