Overview
As an entry-level helpdesk agent, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical and user support to assist customers or staff with basic system, software, or service-related issues. This role is suitable for candidates looking to build experience in IT support and customer service.
Responsibilities
Respond to helpdesk requests via phone, email, or ticketing systems
Assist users with basic technical or system-related issues
Log, track, and update support tickets accurately
Provide clear guidance and troubleshooting support
Escalate unresolved or complex issues to senior support staff
Maintain accurate records of support interactions
Follow helpdesk procedures and service standards
Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric is required
Basic computer literacy and understanding of common software
Good communication and customer service skills
Willingness to learn technical systems and support tools
Ability to work under supervision and follow procedures
