Overview:
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is currently seeking an experienced Cashier to join their team across South Africa. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting customer service at the point of sale, ensuring a seamless and exceptional shopping experience for all patrons.
Responsibilities:
Adhering to Dis-Chemβs customer service policies and procedures
Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with customers
Reporting customer feedback, including complaints and compliments, to the Frontline Supervisor or store management
Adhering to the prescribed customer turnover hourly rate

Staying informed about current sales, promotions, and store offerings
Ensuring the safety and security of colleagues and customers
Managing cash flow efficiently and securely
Processing all purchases and payments accurately using the Dis-Chem operating system
Handling merchandise exchanges and returns according to company guidelines
Safely storing and managing cash, including loyalty card transactions and other forms of payment
Reporting any suspicious behavior or security concerns to management promptly
Addressing customer queries related to store merchandise
Adhering strictly to Dis-Chemβs security policies and procedures
Minimum Requirements:
Possess a Grade 12 / Matric qualification
Have a minimum of 6 months of experience in cashier/till operations
Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office applications
Display strong numerical skills
Exhibit an excellent command of the English language
Possess basic customer service skills
Be willing and able to work retail hours as per the storeβs schedule
