Sorting and Distributing Mail

Office correspondence refers to written communication within or outside the organization on topics of mutual interest, and it might take the form of a letter, a circular, or a notification. The written communication sent by post or messenger is referred to as “dak” or mail. Incoming mail refers to the ‘dak’ that is received by an office from various sources. The effective handling of such incoming mail has been given top priority because faulty data handling causes a slew of issues. As a result, the mail should be processed quickly and accurately.
