Northern Cape Provincial Government Premier’s Bursary Programme for 2025
The Northern Cape Provincial Government invites RSA citizens, specifically unemployed youth aged 18-35 from the Province, to apply for the Premier’s Bursary Programme. This programme supports full-time undergraduate or first-degree studies at any accredited South African Higher Education Institution.
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen residing in the Northern Cape.
- Age: 18-35 years old.
- Academic Status: Open to Grade 12 learners, recent graduates, and students currently enrolled at a Higher Education Institution.
- Financial Need: Preference for financially needy applicants with strong academic performance.
- Fields of Study: Must align with disciplines identified as scarce and critical within the province.
- Demographic Criteria: Consideration given to race, gender, age, and persons with disabilities.
- Geographic Area: Preference for applicants from diverse geographic areas within the province.
- Academic Achievement: Enrolled students must provide their most recent statement of results.
- Proof of Income: Submit proof of household income or financial means.
Recruitment & Selection Process
- Completed Application: Ensure the application is completed as per the OTP checklist.
- Contractual Agreement: Successful candidates will enter into a contractual agreement with the Northern Cape Provincial Government detailing the bursary provisions.
