About the Programme

The Future is Bright Bursary Programme offers financial support to students pursuing higher education. The Hollywood Foundation is dedicated to promoting equal access to education, ensuring students have the knowledge and skills necessary to enter the workforce. Through this annual initiative, we aim to foster educational opportunities and make a lasting impact.

Bursary Coverage

The bursary provides full or partial funding, depending on academic performance and the area of study. Fields of study eligible for funding include:

  • Computer Science
  • Finance / Accounting
  • Digital Marketing / Marketing
  • BSc Data Science / BSc Information Management

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Future is Bright Bursary Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Latest academic results:
    • 60% or above for tertiary/higher institution students.
  2. South African Citizen:
    • External applicants only (not for Hollywood Foundation employees).
  3. Course Duration:
    • The course must be 12 months or longer.
  4. Academic Requirements:
    • A strong academic record is required:
      • 65% aggregate for Matric students.
      • 60% aggregate for students already enrolled in tertiary institutions.
  5. Type of Qualifications:
    • The bursary is available for full-time studies in:
      • Higher Certificates
      • National Certificates
      • Diplomas
      • Degrees
      • Post-Graduate studies
  6. Accredited Institutions:
    • The institution must be registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training.

Selection Process

Selected applicants will undergo a full selection process, which includes assessments and interviews.
