Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development Bursaries

The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) is offering comprehensive bursaries for qualifying applicants pursuing studies in identified careers within the agriculture, land reform, and rural development sectors for the 2025 academic year. The bursary will cover tuition, accommodation, books, meals, and a monthly allowance. Priority will be given to previously disadvantaged and impoverished individuals from poverty-stricken and rural communities.

  • Applicants must be South African citizens.

  • Applications for fields of study not listed above will not be considered.
  • Communication will be limited to successful applicants only. If you do not receive communication within 14 days after the release of Grade 12 results and the selection process is finalised, consider your application unsuccessful.
  • Late applications will not be considered.
  • Applicants awaiting their university acceptance letter or results may still submit their application.
  • DALRRD reserves the right to determine the total number of bursary allocations based on the available budget.
