Job Description
As a helpdesk support officer, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical and user support to assist staff or customers with system, software, and service-related issues. You will ensure requests are handled efficiently, accurately, and in line with service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to helpdesk requests via phone, email, or ticketing systems
  • Provide first-line technical and user support
  • Log, track, and update support tickets accurately
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, or access issues
  • Provide clear guidance and follow-up to users
  • Escalate unresolved or complex issues to higher-level support
  • Maintain accurate records of support interactions

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric is required
  • Previous helpdesk, IT support, or customer support experience is an advantage
  • Basic computer literacy and understanding of common software
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet response targets
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
