Courier Assistant
Salary: R7,000 p/m

We are looking for a reliable and physically fit Courier Assistant to support daily delivery and collection operations. This role involves assisting the courier driver with loading, unloading, and delivering parcels while ensuring that items reach customers safely and on time. The position is ideal for individuals who enjoy active work and are comfortable working on the road.
As a Courier Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring efficient delivery operations. You will work closely with the driver to manage parcels, follow delivery routes, and provide basic customer assistance when required. The role requires attention to detail, good time management, and the ability to follow instructions.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the driver with loading and unloading parcels and packages
Ensure deliveries are handled carefully to avoid damage
Help verify delivery addresses and delivery documentation
Assist with collecting signatures and confirming deliveries
Support the driver in following delivery routes and schedules
Communicate politely with customers when handing over parcels
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the delivery vehicle
Assist with returns and collections when required
Requirements
No formal qualification is required as training will be provided
Physically able to lift, carry, and move parcels
Reliable, punctual, and able to work long or flexible hours
Basic communication skills
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Previous delivery or logistics experience is an advantage but not required
