Job Description
We are currently recruiting Chat Support Agents to provide professional online assistance to customers through live chat platforms. This role focuses on written communication and real-time customer interaction, ensuring users receive accurate information, prompt responses, and a positive support experience. The position is suitable for individuals who are comfortable working online, handling digital systems, and communicating clearly in writing.
Chat Support Agents play a key role in customer experience, digital service delivery, and online platform support. You will assist users with general enquiries, account-related questions, and basic troubleshooting while following established communication standards and service guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer enquiries via live chat and messaging systems
- Provide accurate information related to services, accounts, and online processes
- Assist users with basic troubleshooting and support requests
- Maintain professional, clear, and polite written communication at all times
- Handle multiple chat conversations efficiently and accurately
- Escalate complex or technical issues to the appropriate support teams
- Document customer interactions and update records correctly
- Follow company policies, data protection guidelines, and quality standards
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) is required
- Strong written English communication skills are essential
- Basic computer literacy and ability to work with online systems
- Comfortable using web-based platforms, chat tools, and digital dashboards
- Good typing speed with strong attention to detail
- Previous experience in online customer support, live chat support, or digital service roles is an advantage but not required
