Purpose of the Programme (What You’ll Actually Be Trained To Do)

This is not classroom-only learning. The Toyota Production Learner Maintenance Programme is a practical learnership designed to equip learners with core manufacturing and maintenance skills required in real production environments.

During the programme, learners will receive structured training in:

Core Training Areas

Working effectively in a team-based production environment
Safety training and correct use of hand tools
Assembly and manufacturing drawing interpretation
Marking-off and welding basics
Operating and monitoring production machines
Surface preparation techniques
Fire fighting and workplace emergency response
Operations, packaging, and dispatch of manufactured products

By the end of the programme, learners will understand how a modern automotive factory operates from start to finish.

Qualifications & Experience Required

To be considered, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

Minimum Requirements

National Technical Certificate (N3 – N6)
OR
Matric / Technical Matric with:
- Mathematics
- Physical Science or Engineering Science
  PLUS one or more of the following subjects:
- Electrical Trade Theory
- Mechanical Trade Theory
- Motor Trade Theory
- Mechanical Drawing
- Graphical Design

Important: This programme is specifically aimed at unemployed candidates, so currently employed individuals may not be prioritised.
