Job Summary:
The Telemarketer is responsible for making outbound calls to potential customers to generate sales leads, promote products or services, and close sales. This role involves building relationships with prospects, identifying customer needs, and persuading them to make a purchase or take a specific action. The ideal candidate is a persuasive communicator, has excellent phone etiquette, and is comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
Outbound Calls: Make a high volume of outbound calls to potential customers using a provided list or database.
Product Promotion: Present and promote the company’s products or services to potential customers, highlighting key features and benefits.
Lead Generation: Identify and qualify leads by understanding customer needs and interests, and updating the database with relevant information.
Sales Conversion: Persuade potential customers to purchase products or services, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Customer Interaction: Build rapport with prospects, handle objections, and answer questions to build trust and encourage purchases.
Data Entry: Accurately enter customer information, call outcomes, and other relevant details into the company’s CRM system.
Follow-Up: Schedule follow-up calls or emails with interested prospects to maintain engagement and close sales.
Reporting: Provide daily or weekly reports on call activity, lead generation, and sales performance to the supervisor.
Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to privacy and data protection.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the company’s products, services, and market trends to improve sales techniques and product knowledge.
Qualifications:
Education: Grade 12.
Experience: Previous experience in telemarketing, sales, or customer service is preferred.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Persuasive and confident speaking abilities.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with CRM software.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to handle rejection and remain motivated in a target-driven environment.
Fluent in [relevant languages, e.g., English, Afrikaans, or other local languages].
