Position Overview:
We are looking for a professional and courteous Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing appointments, and handling administrative tasks with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice and enhancing patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients both in person and over the phone
Schedule and manage patient appointments
Provide necessary information regarding appointments, treatments, and billing
Address patient inquiries promptly
Manage the front desk, including checking in patients, verifying insurance details, and collecting co-pays
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
Prepare medical charts and ensure all documentation is complete before appointments
Process billing and insurance claims, and follow up on unpaid invoices or discrepancies
Liaise between patients, healthcare providers, and other departments to ensure efficient communication
Coordinate patient flow to minimize waiting times
Handle sensitive patient information with strict confidentiality
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming
Order and maintain inventory of office supplies and materials

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical administration is a plus
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly desirable
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in using medical scheduling software, electronic health records (EHR), and basic office software (Microsoft Office)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

Working Hours:
Full-time position with standard office hours
May require occasional work during evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on the practice’s schedule
