3.2.6 Rule #6: Planning Ahead

Your capacity for forward planning will play a significant role in how well you arrange and plan. Generally speaking, you will be more successful if you have more time to plan. The amount of time you have to do a project can occasionally be beyond your control. You might have to handle a last-minute project if it arises. All you can do in these circumstances is make the most of the available time.

Try to plan ahead as much as you can at work, excluding these unforeseen projects. These unforeseen jobs will be much easier to handle if you have a plan in place.

The best you can do is to plan out significant initiatives. Do you produce a report every quarter? Make sure you have everything you need in advance to finish the report by making a plan.
