Virtual Translator (Zulu or Afrikaans to English)
Location: Remote (Work from Home)
Salary: R11,520 per month
Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Virtual Translator who can work from home to translate documents and messages from Zulu or Afrikaans to English. You will need to ensure that all translations are accurate and clear.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate Documents: Convert various documents from Zulu or Afrikaans into English.
- Ensure Accuracy: Make sure translations are correct and keep the original meaning.
- Proofread and Edit: Check and fix any errors in the translations.
- Client Communication: Work with clients to understand their needs and keep them updated.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Make sure translations fit the cultural context.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Keep all information private and secure.
- Quality Assurance: Follow the set standards for translation.
Requirements:
- Language Skills: Fluent in Zulu or Afrikaans and English.
- Experience: Previous experience in translation is preferred. Experience in legal, technical, or business fields is a bonus.
- Education: A degree or certificate in Translation or a related field is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to provide accurate translations and check for errors.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and spoken skills in both languages.
- Computer Skills: Able to use translation software and Microsoft Office.
