Job Overview

As a van assistant, you will be responsible for supporting delivery operations by assisting with loading, unloading, and handling goods during transport. You will work closely with the driver to ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time.

Responsibilities:

Assist with loading and unloading goods from the van
Help deliver items to customers or delivery points
Ensure goods are handled carefully during transport
Check delivery notes and confirm items delivered
Collect delivery confirmations or signatures when required
Keep the van clean and organised
Follow delivery, safety, and company procedures

Requirements:

Previous delivery or general work experience is an advantage but not required
Physically fit and able to lift and carry items
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Good communication skills
Willingness to work flexible hours
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
