We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Shop Assistants to join our team. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our retail establishment. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers, maintaining store cleanliness, restocking shelves, and providing excellent service to enhance the shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist customers in locating products, answering questions, and providing product information.
- Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately.
- Maintain a tidy and organized sales floor by restocking shelves and arranging merchandise.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock or replenishment needs.
- Assist with visual merchandising, including setting up displays and promotional signage.
- Ensure that products are correctly priced and labeled.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner, seeking assistance from supervisors when needed.
Qualifications:
- Grade 8 or similar
- Previous retail experience is a plus but not always required.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy objects.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Additional Information:
- Training will be provided to familiarize Shop Assistants with store policies, procedures, and product knowledge.
