Minimum Qualification

  • ABET Level 02 or equivalent
  • No Matric required
  • No tertiary qualification required

Experience

  • No prior work experience required

  • Understanding of a laundry working environment

You should be able to:

  • Read, count, and perform basic numeracy
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and co-workers

  • Perform physical labour
  • Wear protective clothing (this is a legal requirement)

Duties and Responsibilities 

Laundry Workers are responsible for managing linen used across hospitals and clinics. Daily tasks include:

  • Sorting and counting dirty linen from multiple hospitals
  • Receiving soiled linen from healthcare facilities
  • Operating and assisting with industrial laundry machines
  • Washing, drying, and preparing clean linen
  • Packing clean linen into bags and trolleys
  • Issuing and delivering clean linen to hospitals and clinics
  • Cleaning and maintaining the laundry work area
  • Performing additional tasks delegated by a supervisor

To update your name on EduCourse, you must first be logged in to your account.

  1. Go to My Details from the menu.
  2. Edit your name in the profile section.
  3. Click Update to save your changes.

After updating your name, you can re-download your certificate with the corrected details.
