Job Title: IT Help Desk Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IT Help Desk Technician to provide top-notch technical support to our end-users. The ideal candidate will be responsible for resolving hardware and software issues, managing IT service requests, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused approach to support.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
Install, configure, and update software and hardware as needed
Manage and track service requests using a help desk ticketing system
Assist with IT asset management and maintain inventory records
Document and track issues, solutions, and system changes
Maintain and update technical support documentation
Monitor system performance and ensure IT equipment is functioning correctly
Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues
Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems and software
Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures
Requirements:
Grade 12
Proven experience as an IT Help Desk Technician or in a similar role
Strong understanding of operating systems, hardware, and software
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Customer-focused attitude with a willingness to assist users
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or a related field will be an added advantage
