General Construction Worker

Salary: R6,900 per month

Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking General Labourers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks to support operations and maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires physical stamina, reliability, and a willingness to work in diverse conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manual Labour: Perform general manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment.
  • Site Maintenance: Assist with the upkeep and cleanliness of work sites, ensuring they are organized and free of hazards.
  • Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain basic hand tools and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading materials, products, and equipment from vehicles.
  • Construction Support: Help with construction activities, including setting up and dismantling scaffolding, mixing and applying construction materials.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to supervisors.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, following instructions from supervisors and collaborating with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a general labourer role is preferred but not required.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of basic safety practices and ability to follow safety guidelines.
  • Communication: Basic communication skills and the ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and capable of working in various weather conditions.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to different tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: No formal education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent is advantageous.
  • Certification: Any relevant certifications or training in health and safety are a plus.
