General Construction Worker

Salary: R6,900 per month
Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking General Labourers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks to support operations and maintain a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires physical stamina, reliability, and a willingness to work in diverse conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manual Labour: Perform general manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment.
- Site Maintenance: Assist with the upkeep and cleanliness of work sites, ensuring they are organized and free of hazards.
- Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain basic hand tools and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading materials, products, and equipment from vehicles.
- Construction Support: Help with construction activities, including setting up and dismantling scaffolding, mixing and applying construction materials.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to supervisors.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, following instructions from supervisors and collaborating with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a general labourer role is preferred but not required.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of basic safety practices and ability to follow safety guidelines.
- Communication: Basic communication skills and the ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and capable of working in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to different tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: No formal education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent is advantageous.
- Certification: Any relevant certifications or training in health and safety are a plus.
