7.3 File Explorer

File Explorer is a built-in program that lets you view and arrange files and folders. Before Windows 7, it was called Windows Explorer. Click the File Explorer icon on the taskbar or double-click any folder on your desktop to open File Explorer. There will be a new File Explorer window. Now you are ready to get started with your files and folders.

Step 1

Double-clicking a folder in File Explorer will open it. Then you’ll be able to see all the files in that folder.

In the address bar at the top of the window, you can also see where a folder is.
